“Come, Let Us” by Dr.J.

Genesis 11:1-7 (NIV) The Tower of Babel “Now the whole world had one language and a common speech. As people moved eastward,[a] they found a plain in Shinar[b] and settled there. They said to each other, “Come, let’s make bricks and bake them thoroughly. They used brick instead of stone, and tar for mortar. Then they said, Come, let us build ourselves a city, with a tower that reaches to the heavens, so that we may make a name for ourselves; otherwise we will be scattered over the face of the whole earth.’ But the Lord came down to see the city and the tower the people were building. The Lord said, “If as one people speaking the same language they have begun to do this, then nothing they plan to do will be impossible for them. Come, let us go down and confuse their language so they will not understand each other.”

It is imperative that we are all on one accord in the body of Christ. Each person must die to him/herself and humble yourself before God. We all speak the same language (the Word of God). When we are on one accord, speaking the same common language; when we operate as ONE body of Christ, there is nothing that we can’t accomplish together. Unity within the body of Christ will cause God and His angels to begin to move on our behalf.

The nations in Genesis 11 said to each other, “Come, let us…” Can you imagine the body of Christ saying, “Come let us pray for marriages and adulterous spouses to be delivered. Come let us pray for our finances and declare and decree that our resources will be released this season. Come let us pray for our ministries, careers, and professions so that God can elevate and promote us in our due season.” Come let US. Everything that the people in Genesis 11 decided to work on together – although it wasn’t a good task – they would have accomplished building that tower to heaven because they were unified in their efforts with one language. Because of their unity, God came down to see what they were doing. I declare and decree that God is going to come down to see what we’re doing during this season. He will see that we are unified for a Godly spiritual cause and He is going to be in the midst of our fasting, praying, ministering, and touching and agreeing. Dr.J.

“Unity in the Body of Christ” by Dr.J.

Jesus prayed to God before His departure from the world. He prayed for complete unity. He was speaking about his disciples, us, His followers, preachers, apostles, prophets – the church.
Why does the world not understand the power of God? Because the churches and preachers operate in silos. We are not unified as Jesus intended. There is power in unity.

Are we preaching Jesus – the same message? Are we unified, not necessarily in methodology, but in our theological discourse? Do we unite regularly and consistently but informally to divide truth? Do we have the same agenda? Are we competing and vying for personal glory?

The world laughs at us and says, why will I follow Jesus when His current followers are disjointed? We have to tear down walls within and externally. Are we operating in silos or in unity? Jesus prayed for our unity and for God’s power to be known through our unity. The impact of the church in the world relies on our unity in Christ. Dr.J.

John 17:23 NIV I in them and you in me—so that they may be brought to complete unity. Then the world will know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.

“Husbands Stop Cutting Off Your Prayers: Part III” by Dr.Jené Walker

Husbands don’t jeopardize your inheritance of favor from God. An heir is a person who is “legally entitled to the property or rank of another, a successor, beneficiary; a person inheriting.” You may hinder your prayers if you don’t understand that your wife is your “joint” heir. For your prayers to go through, follow God’s instructions on how to be with your wife as joint heir.

Together as heirs of the grace of life (NKJV), treat your wife as an heir with you (NIV), and realize that you are joint heirs of the grace (God’s unmerited favor) of life (AMP).

Because you are married, your inheritance is tied to your relationship with your wife and to your obedience. Your unity ties you and your wife as heirs of the favor of God. Your unity joins you together for an inheritance of favor. Your union seals your right to your inheritance from God. When you’re favored, she is favored. If one is favored and the other isn’t, check the status of your union and obedience.

Can two walk together unless they agree? It is difficult to walk into your inheritance and favor when the two of you are not in agreement. When you operate out of order in your roles and positions in the marriage and in your relationship with God, it is difficult to walk toward your inheritance.

Husbands, your prayers have been ineffective because you’ve been trying to reign over your wife with an iron fist. Your wife is just as royal as you are. Treat her as your partner in royalty. God has promises He wants to manifest in your lives but you two are disjointed. He has another level of love, passion, and ministry for you but you are not in agreement with your wife. Share your inheritance of favor with her; it is rightfully hers too. Allow God to transform your heart so you can walk in agreement with your wife. Be obedient. Your wife is your joint heir.  Jené Elaine Walker
