“Fence Straddler” by Dr. Jené Walker

1 Kings 18:21 “And Elijah came unto all the people, and said, How long halt ye between two opinions? if the Lord be God, follow him: but if Baal, then follow him. And the people answered him not a word.”

What is a fence straddler? I know the meaning very well. It describes me and my lifestyle about three years ago. I wanted to follow God and go into ministry, but I also wanted to be in an “all out” relationship with a man who wasn’t my husband. God wouldn’t allow me to be elevated spiritually and in some ways naturally until I decided between, “God or Baal?” I had one leg on the world’s side of the fence and one leg in the kingdom – fence straddler. God kept nudging me with forceful nudges to come out of sin. I mean the kind of nudges that I couldn’t just ignore. The nudges went beyond “heart tugs.”

Will you stay in sin until God has to give you a serious nudge or will you come out now? We stifle our own elevation with our rebellion. Will you go all in with God? He says if not, just go all in with Satan. He said for us to love Him with all our hearts, all our soul, and all our strength, withholding nothing… Jené Elaine Walker

“Settle Down Sunday: Exit Strategy” by Dr.J.

WATCH THE LIVE VIDEO LESSON:  Exit Strategy Lesson: Joshua 3:5

I want to come out of sinful situations but I need an “Exit Strategy!”
Read Joshua Chapters 3 and 4 during your devotional time this week.

Settle Down Sunday and complete this Spiritual Survey
1.1 Corinthians 10:13 (NKJV) says, “No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.” What are some of the sinful situations you’re involved in right now that you’re sick and tired of? You want to come OUT! You’ve tried to walk away but it has been a struggle. After reading 1 Corinthians 10:13, how does this shed light on your sinful situation? How does it give you strength to EXIT?
2. This isn’t a pretty message. I don’t hear many AMEN’S in the atmosphere but that’s ok! It’s going to save our LIVES. We can’t afford to stay in SIN, as a matter of fact, look at what 1 John 3:8-9 (NKJV) says, “He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil. Whoever has been born of God does not sin, for His seed remains in him; and he cannot sin, because he has been born of God.” How does this cause us to reflect on IF we are TRULY saved?
3. The Holy Spirit and SIN can’t co-exist. So imagine yourself in sin: sexual immorality, adultery, addictions, lying, deception, spirit of offense, etc. Now imagine Holy Spirit leaving us when we’re committing those sins. If it’s sex, as much protection that we’re using, we’re STILL SPIRITUALLY and PHYSICALLY uncovered because Holy Spirit will NOT bless sin. He is GONE. We are open for any and everything to happen to us. That is such a dangerous place to be. Reflect on this. What are some sins you’ve hidden from “man” but never imagined the Triune God (all three) observing you while you sin (from a distance because God can’t stand the sight of it)?
4. What specific steps within the three EXIT STRATEGIES will you complete to EXIT SINFUL situations? 1) Consecrate yourself (how?); 2) Carry out His instructions (obey the Word of God; how?), and 3) Cross over (how will you move into what God has promised you; He will cut off the barriers and overtake your enemy)?
5. As you go into next week, pray that the Spirit will convict you every time you think of sin. Say it aloud, “Lord give me my way of escape. I don’t want to sin anymore. I don’t want to be without your presence. Help me in my weakness. I am YOUR child and NOT A CHILD OF THE DEVIL.” Avoid tempting situations. Stay out of sin’s way. Avoid people who draw you in to sin. Avoid movies and music that entice you. Stop reading trashy stuff that makes you tingle. What else will you make a spiritually conscious decision to avoid?

God is waiting on us to consecrate ourselves so that He can do miraculous things in our lives. We want the miracle without the consecration. But tonight, we have BREAKTHROUGH. We now KNOW what has held us up from crossing over into His promises. The devil just lost ANOTHER spiritual battle. Our lives WILL NOT be the same after tonight. We will cross over and leave our sin and those sinful situations on the other side of the Jordan. It’s time people of God. Approximately 100 hundred million unbelievers in the US alone are waiting on US to come out! We look just like the world looks and God is sick of it. Let’s cross over into the promises of God. I love you! Dr.J.

“What and Whom Do You Support?”

Proverbs 8:13 (NKJV) “The fear of the Lord is to hate evil; Pride and arrogance and the evil wayAnd the perverse mouth I hate.” We can’t fear, revere, love and honor God and love, support, lift up, and condone evil, pride, arrogance, and a perverse mouth too. It’s impossible. We will love one and hate the other. What we support shows what we believe. This truly is the season of exposure. For true believers, He’s exposing some ugliness in us that He has to purge for us to go higher. He wants believers to examine our own relationship. But then, God is also exposing the tares to us. There are those among us who resemble believers but they don’t know God. Use your discernment without making one comment. God just wants you to “see.” Watch and pray. He will show us when to act. Some things won’t be made right until the tribulation. Dr.J.

“Stop Straddling the Fence” by Dr.J.

Stop straddling the fence in your talk, walk, actions, and faith. You’re confusing the same people whom God wants to use you to convert with your wishy washy behavior. We preach and cuss with the same mouth. We post scriptures and drunken pictures on the same timeline. Please don’t make God spit you out with your lukewarm self.

Holy Spirit heal us then heat us up for God. Ignite a fire in us that can’t be extinguished. Help us to stop straddling the fence between the world and the kingdom of God and be hot for God in Jesus’s name. Dr.J.

“Man of God – Not Man is God” by Dr.J.

Man of God be careful not to ruin your witness by focusing on the physicality (lust of the eyes) of your assignment instead of the severity and gravity of your assignment. Respect the woman of God and complete the assignment God has given you concerning her without corruption and manipulation.

There are men who claim to be men of God but in actuality, well in a figment of their imagination, they are “god.” How? They use spirituality – the Word, spiritual gifts, and a form of godliness – and their earthly power to woo and worse manipulate women of God. God created women from man as weaker vessels, not to be toyed with, tricked, used, and manipulated but to be protected, cared for, and loved. God also called man to wash women in the Word. So if we aren’t right, man is used to get us right.

Men in the guise of godly prey on women (no pun intended) who are in distress and who are somewhat gullible because they lack spiritual discernment. Men pretending to be godly look for openings in a woman’s spirituality (a gap in her faith), however small, to deceive her and even adulterate the word of God for an opportunity to make her his conquest.

In my experience, the main form of godly manipulation used by these men-who-are-gods has been prophesy. “God told me to tell you.” “God gave me a vision of me and you in ministry together.” “God showed me that you are my wife.” This type of spiritual deception causes paranoia and suspicion in the body of Christ for both women and men who are truly of God. Unfortunately, the only way to end this travesty of godliness in the church is through spiritual warfare as they men are operating under the power of Satan and spiritual discernment- or God Himself bringing their evil to an end.

Some of these men, because of their position alone obviously, have been entrusted with the care, counsel, and protection of the women of God and the body of Christ as a whole. How evil is it that these spirits in these so-called-men-of-God can transfer to other men in the church too? God will hold them accountable. My prayer is that the spirit of deception, lies, falsity, and evil will be exposed in the name of Jesus. My prayer is that God will remove the veils, scales, and cataracts off the eyes of women. My prayer is that God will heal broken women and make them whole so that they don’t feel the need to fill the void with false doctrine from a false man of God. My prayer is that women of God will have the gift of discernment to see this man-who-is-god coming a mile away. Dr.J.
