My prayer is that of Elisha. God, open the eyes of your people. Even though there is a physical war; it is a spiritual war. Open our eyes please Jesus. 

Paul clearly states in Ephesians chapter 6 that we don’t wrestle against flesh and blood but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. We focus so much on “people” and “situations” and “circumstances” that we fail to recognize that there is an invisible battle going on in the spiritual realm. We fail to see the demonic forces behind the injustice. The devil and demonic powers are at work in the world constantly. Demons laugh at flesh fights among humans; principalities smile at rallies for racial and social and political justice; rulers of darkness think that “movements” for rights are hilarious. 

What truly changes the heart of a man? If a person is under demonic influence, oppressed by and working for Satan, will a hashtag or movement or a rally or a picket sign tug at his heart strings? His heart has been won by Satan…

At the name of Jesus, powers of the air tremble; they get anxious and uncomfortable. Will we continue to employ carnal weapons that don’t even put a bandage on the ills we’re suffering? Or will prayer warriors, end times warriors, and vigilant soldiers of spiritual warfare “rally” for the deployment of spiritual warfare? If the rally isn’t spiritual, change won’t be permanent. Will we EVER engage the REAL enemy? Dr.J.

“Everything was going so smoothly. I mean things were perfect and then all of a sudden, all hell broke loose.”

That’s an issue. If we don’t recognize that there is always an invisible spiritual battle, we will be caught off guard when the attack manifests. You may “think” things are smooth and perfect but the enemy is always prowling around, plotting and scheming…always. What is “all of sudden” to you was being planned “all along” by the devil. We can’t afford to be deceived. We have to pray without ceasing. We have to say daily confessions. We have to read and study God’s Word daily. No days off believers because the devil doesn’t take vacations. Dr.J.

The enemy doesn’t have to study you hard or long to know your weak areas. Remember, we’re dealing with ancient evil. He knows “human nature” and “human proclivities.” Although we’ve grown so much spiritually, the devil knows our weak spots and the buttons that when pushed, will yank us out of the spirit and into the flesh. You know your weak spots too because the devil has been attacking you in that tender area lately. 

Fight back. Fight back offensively. Employ two important offensive spiritual weapons now-prayer and the Word of God. Plan your battle strategy now. We have to have an end-times strategy because the devil is ramping up his attacks. Prepare for battle before the attack. God is a mighty man of war, Jehovah Gibbor. We actually get our war strategy directly from God. It is God who teaches our hands to war and our fingers to fight.  Fighting is in your blood. 

Psalm 144:1-2 AMP “BLESSED BE the Lord, my Rock and my keen and firm Strength, Who teaches my hands to war and my fingers to fight– My Steadfast Love and my Fortress, my High Tower and my Deliverer, my Shield and He in Whom I trust and take refuge, Who subdues my people under me.”

Pray. Turn that weak area over to God right now in the name of Jesus. Tell God to heal you in that area. Tell God to build you up in that area so that you are able to fight offensively before the devil ever attacks you in that area. 

Stop letting the enemy catch you off guard. Prepare for the attack now in that problem area now. Begin to claim victory in that area now. Begin to speak, “my weakness is made strong.” “My problem area is now resolved.” “My tender spot is now durable in Jesus’s name.” Dr.J.
