“Terrible Times” by Dr. Jené Walker

“But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days.” Knowing this, how do you ensure that you’re not a part of the “deceived” crew? How do you seek God for the gift of discernment? God has instructed us to stay away from people who are lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God – having a form of godliness but denying its power. He says have nothing to do with such people. 2 Timothy 3:1-5

Do you need to do a spiritual survey of your crew? Why is it dangerous to surround yourself with these types in this season? Imagine the types of things these people will say to you. Imagine the ungodly counsel. Imagine the manipulation. The lies. The deception. The deception is so so so strong right now that if it were possible the very elect – (God’s chosen people who He has protected as His remnant) – even they would be deceived. We are just one relationship or affiliation away from the great deception. If it were not so God wouldn’t have said STAY AWAY. Idolatrous Israel (brown people), you know we’ve always had a problem conforming to the ways of pagan people. So stay alert. How can we get the wealth that is rightfully ours WITHOUT becoming lovers of money? How can we know our worth in the kingdom WITHOUT becoming lovers of ourselves? How can we take vacations, eat fine foods, and relax without becoming lovers of pleasure? Oh yes. One relationship, one affiliation, one action away from deception. We can’t afford to slip up. Terrible times are here right now. Is being affiliated with the lot of this group worth losing our souls?

“Let ‘It’ Run Its Course” by Dr.J.

One of my accountability partners was ministering to me and she said, “let it run its course.” The Holy Spirit kept laying it on my heart. One day I was driving home from work and I just started shouting and screaming and praising God. The phrase had been helping me to make it through all kinds of attacks. It was something about the phrase that just soothed me but the Holy Spirit didn’t give me revelation then. The Holy Spirit gave me revelation later.

See, one meaning of the phrase, “let it runs its course” is whatever “it” is will continue “naturally” until “it” has finished. The Holy Spirit said to me some things are running a “supernatural” course in our lives this season. There is nothing “natural” that we can do about it. We can’t rush it. We can’t medicate it or fix it. We can’t make it happen. All we can do is wait for God to do what He is going to do supernaturally to work “it” out, to finish it. God is working it out. When it runs its course, when God says it is finished and ready for you, it will be worth your wait. My God. Now if you’re not shouting and screaming and praising God, I’m praying for your revelation. Dr.J.

“Be Content in the Season You’re In” by Dr.J.

If you’re in a season that God placed you in, learn to be content. There is nothing like the peace of God when you trust God right where you are right now. You know God is sovereign. If He wanted you somewhere else, that’s where you would be.

Lord, I just want to go with the flow of Your Spirit. Even though You’ve placed a desire in me for something “more” for the kingdom, I know when I’m ready and You’re ready, You will birth it.

The enemy uses our own emotions and other people to cause us to doubt, to become anxious, and even to be impatient and angry with God. We renounce those spirits right now in Jesus’s name. We are content in the season in which You’ve placed us, Lord. When You’re ready to move us, we’re ready for the next level. Dr.J.
