Distractions are intended to delay you from and ultimately deny your entrance into your destiny. The thing about distractions is they sometimes deceitfully appear to be people or courses of events leading to or a part of your destiny. That is why it is imperative that we have the Spirit who knows the mind of God. That is why it is essential that we are transformed by the renewing of our mind so that then we will know the pleasing perfect will of God. “Turn Your Face to the Wall and Pray” by Dr.J.
Why pray, if God’s will will be done?
2 Kings 20:1 (NLT) “About that time Hezekiah became deathly ill, and the prophet Isaiah son of Amoz went to visit him. He gave the king this message: ‘This is what the Lord says: Set your affairs in order, for you are going to die. You will not recover from this illness.'”
Well! I’m sure that Hezekiah was like, “Really Lord? That’s it? Well, if it’s Your will then what can I do about it but die?”
Sometimes messages come to us in different forms and from different messengers. We receive messages or bad reports from doctors about diseases and illnesses and accept the message as if we have no choice. The enemy brings us messages about ourselves like, “you are going to fail, you aren’t competent on your job, you won’t succeed, you aren’t good enough, you will never be prosperous, or no one will love you if they knew everything about you.” We immediately receive those negative messages in our spirit as if we have to.
But when God Himself sent a message to Hezekiah through a prophet, a reliable man of God, that His will was for Hezekiah to die from his illness, did Hezekiah receive this message? No! He turned his face to the wall and prayed. He said Lord, even though Your will for me is death, I have been faithful and I’m asking You for life instead.
Now I know you are thinking, “But we can’t question God!” Oh but He is a God of mercy and grace and He will even change His own plan for you if you have the obedience, faith, and boldness of Hezekiah. So should we pray if God’s will is already determined? Ask Hezekiah, and his answer would be yes. And do we have to receive the negative reports and messages from others or the enemy? No! Turn your face to the wall and pray; God can extend time for you, add time to your day or 15 years to your life. Dr.J.
2 Kings 20:5-6 NLT “Go back to Hezekiah, the leader of my people. Tell him, ‘This is what the LORD, the God of your ancestor David, says: I have heard your prayer and seen your tears. I will heal you, and three days from now you will get out of bed and go to the Temple of the LORD. I will add fifteen years to your life, and I will rescue you and this city from the king of Assyria. I will defend this city for my own honor and for the sake of my servant David.’”
When God Says ‘Go,’ Go! by Dr.J.
I prayed and ask God just the other day, “God, if there is some land of which I’m supposed to go in and take possession of it, reveal it to me and make it plain. I don’t want to be the reason for my delay.” Often times God has given us a promise and we actually have to “go in and take possession of” the promise. Dreams and visions have been delayed because we don’t “go in and take possession of” them.
You have this longing and even compelling feeling that you just can’t shake because God is urging you to move on His promises. There is land, ministry, spiritual wisdom, promotion, business, or some promise that God has given you. What are you waiting for? When God says go, go! Dr.J.
Deuteronomy 1:8 NIV”See, I have given you this land. Go in and take possession of the land the Lord swore he would give to your fathers—to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob—and to their descendants after them.”
Get In Line For Your Bloodline by Dr.J.
You have to get in line for your entire bloodline to change. You keep waiting on change to take place in your family, but you ARE the change. You’ve felt this longing and strong desire for something better and something more. God placed that desire in you to get in line.
“In line for what?”
You must get in line in order to go to the next spiritual level, which brings greater spiritual blessings. The way the end times are set up, if YOU don’t get in line, your entire bloodline’s eternal lives are at stake. It doesn’t matter if you are the youngest, you are the chosen one.
You are the one God chose to prepare your family for the spiritual battles ahead. Do they read the Word daily? Do you? Do they study God’s Word? Do you? Are they living a life worthy of the calling of Christ Jesus? Are you? Are they saying, “God knows my heart” and continuing to live in sin? Are you? Are they straddling the fence between the world and the kingdom of God? Are you? Are they suffering from demonic oppression and generational curses that need to be renounced? Are you? It’s time to let God and the Holy Spirit through Jesus Christ get these things in line now. Some of us mothers are focusing so much on a man and our children aren’t in line for salvation. Some fathers are narcissistic and concerned with being bachelor or player of the year and your children don’t know Christ (they know OF Christ). It’s time to get in line now.
You are the one God chose to make sure your entire family is saved. But it won’t be enough for them to just confess it with their mouths. They have to live out their belief in every area of their lives.
When the enemy tries you and your family with the most severe, scary, and deadly attacks, will your bloodline fold and give in to Satan or go to their death for Christ? Will you fold or die for Christ? This is where we are now. This is how serious it is. Are YOU in line so your entire bloodline can be in line? God chose YOU. The time is now. Dr.J.
Revelation 2:10 KJV 10 Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.
Has Your Due Season Been Delayed?
God has been dealing with me spiritually in three areas for the last three weeks:
1) disobedience
2) His will
3) humility
Believers there is no way that three weeks straight God has pressed into me so hard about these three areas just because. This season is approaching an end. Some of us have asked, “Where is the manifestation?” These three areas have held up release for someone:
1) Disobedience is vast but sometimes subtle. God even showed me how we can have thoughts that have become fortresses in our minds. If God is our fortress and strong tower, our imaginations and thoughts that are higher than God have replaced God in our minds. Cast those thoughts down. Having high thoughts is disobedience.
2) His will is the only will in the life of a believer. He wants us to a point at which we have thrown out “my will” completely. We are digging our heels in trying to make situations work and happen for ourselves. He wants us so sold out that we believe, “God, even if you don’t do anything else (prosper, reconcile the relationship, promote, heal my body), I just want your will.” He wants to move forward but you’re holding up progress with “my will” instead of “thy will.”
3) Humility is crucial. Pride can cause you to fall before God can solidify your elevation. Let Him purge you. Let Him get all the pride out before you mess it all up. He says humble yourself before Him and He will elevate you in due season. Have you humbled yourself yet? I heard myself describing how I document my work for my evaluation the other day and God said as plainly as daylight, “Tone that down.” Too much “I, I, I” caused Lucifer to be thrown out of heaven. Be careful of pride. It is sneaky and subtle.
You’ve asked God why hasn’t “it” happened yet…Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal to you why your due season has been delayed. Is it disobedience, not surrendering to His will, or pride? Dr. J.
