“What Ever Happened to Walking in Kingdom Power and Authority?” by Dr.J.

What ever happened to walking in this kind of power and authority? The healing, casting out demons deliverance, preaching to those we presume aren’t the elect and them being saved, and raising the dead from the dead kind of power… Oh I know what happened.

1) We’re more ministry focused than mission focused.

2) Our faith has been shaken so much so that we reserve that kind of power and authority to those who walked with Jesus or with a Damascus Road experience.

3) We’ve mistaken the enemy’s limited authority in the air and in the world for authority over believers when he has none.

4) We want the world. We’ve made this place our home. New Jerusalem? What’s that? “Let’s gain this world and lose our souls,” we say with our actions.

5) We just don’t believe it’s possible or true. We are clueless about a third realm even though God elevated us there right next to Jesus.

How about we start to live in such a surreal spiritual surrendered state that the Holy Spirit can speak to us and say, “Lay hands on her legs now,” and fill us with Holy Ghost power to heal.

He can say to us, “Her, over there. She has an impure spirit. Do deliverance work now.” And the power of the Holy Spirit fills us to cast out impure spirits in her. And we will not be afraid when the strongman or ruling spirit speaks to us and says he isn’t leaving [We still have believers who don’t believe in demons with as much deliverance work that Jesus did during his ministry…].

How about when we pass through the stores in the mall, people will rush to the aisles so our shadow might fall on them and heal and bless and deliver them because of the power of the Holy Ghost that fills us. What ever happened to walking in this kind of power and authority? Dr.J.

Acts‬ ‭5:15‬ ‭NIV‬‬ “As a result, people brought the sick into the streets and laid them on beds and mats so that at least Peter’s shadow might fall on some of them as he passed by.”

“Healed People Heal People” by Dr.J.

Most of us are dealing with the residue of molestation, rape, incest, sexually transmitted diseases, abuse- physical and emotional, insecurity and low self-esteem, rejection, abandonment, illnesses, barrenness, deceptive relationships, extra marital affairs, issues of singleness, or mess in our marriages. And most of us look at other people in judgment and treat them indifferently when we have no idea of all the demons with which they’re fighting.

Hurt people don’t have to hurt people. But healed people should heal people. How do your stares heal? How do your harsh and judgmental words heal? How does your pretending to be perfect help your own healing? How do you win if I lose? Dr.J.

“Spiritual Schizophrenia Confuses the Body and Hinders Discipleship” by Dr.J.

We cannot be schizophrenic believers. Sometimes we may have to wait until after God heals us and delivers us from spiritual schizophrenia before we minister to God’s people. We will have the people of God confused and unbelievers terrified about coming to Christ by the way we act. One minute we’re preaching and inspiring and the next minute we’re cussing and fussing. One minute we’re publicly pronouncing our faith, then publicly denouncing it. One day we’re believing God, and the next we’re speaking death. God doesn’t condemn us but He will hold us accountable for our extreme worldly emotional and mental reactions to situations in one minute and our spiritual reactions in the next minute.

God sat me down for a minute until He got me together – not perfect but steadfast. Let God heal you so He can use you. Let God heal us first before we mislead God’s people and those who “would be” God’s people. Kingdom building is too serious to play with. Dr.J.

James 3:1 ESV Not many of you should become teachers, my brothers, for you know that we who teach will be judged with greater strictness.

2 Timothy 2:16 ESV But avoid irreverent babble, for it will lead people into more and more ungodliness,

“Word of the Day: Outpouring” by Dr.J.

The word today is outpouring. There has been a drought in some areas in our lives but wait on the rain. There is going to be an outpouring of blessings. God is going to pour out water, pour out oil and anointing, pour out spiritual wisdom, pour out His Spirit, pour out blessings and abundance, pour out revelation, pour out favor, pour out the gift of tongues in His churches, and pour out an understanding of end times prophecy. God will pour out interpretations of visions and dreams. God will pour out the gift of prophecy. God will pour out healing power and deliverance power. The word today is outpouring. Dr.J.

“Turn Your Face to the Wall and Pray” by Dr.J.

Why pray, if God’s will will be done?

2 Kings 20:1 (NLT) “About that time Hezekiah became deathly ill, and the prophet Isaiah son of Amoz went to visit him. He gave the king this message: ‘This is what the Lord says: Set your affairs in order, for you are going to die. You will not recover from this illness.'”

Well! I’m sure that Hezekiah was like, “Really Lord? That’s it? Well, if it’s Your will then what can I do about it but die?”

Sometimes messages come to us in different forms and from different messengers. We receive messages or bad reports from doctors about diseases and illnesses and accept the message as if we have no choice. The enemy brings us messages about ourselves like, “you are going to fail, you aren’t competent on your job, you won’t succeed, you aren’t good enough, you will never be prosperous, or no one will love you if they knew everything about you.” We immediately receive those negative messages in our spirit as if we have to.

But when God Himself sent a message to Hezekiah through a prophet, a reliable man of God, that His will was for Hezekiah to die from his illness, did Hezekiah receive this message? No! He turned his face to the wall and prayed. He said Lord, even though Your will for me is death, I have been faithful and I’m asking You for life instead.

Now I know you are thinking, “But we can’t question God!” Oh but He is a God of mercy and grace and He will even change His own plan for you if you have the obedience, faith, and boldness of Hezekiah. So should we pray if God’s will is already determined? Ask Hezekiah, and his answer would be yes. And do we have to receive the negative reports and messages from others or the enemy? No! Turn your face to the wall and pray; God can extend time for you, add time to your day or 15 years to your life. Dr.J.

‭‭2 Kings‬ ‭20:5-6‬ ‭NLT‬‬ “Go back to Hezekiah, the leader of my people. Tell him, ‘This is what the LORD, the God of your ancestor David, says: I have heard your prayer and seen your tears. I will heal you, and three days from now you will get out of bed and go to the Temple of the LORD. I will add fifteen years to your life, and I will rescue you and this city from the king of Assyria. I will defend this city for my own honor and for the sake of my servant David.’”
