You Are the Return On Your Investment by Dr. Jené Walker

Leaders, invest in yourself and in your business. No one knows better than you your areas of need. You can develop your own personalized and individualized educational plan. How was your last evaluation? How was your last self assessment? What are the weakest areas of your business? Sales? Social Media marketing? Content creation? Money management? Identify your needs and design your own customized Professional Growth Plan.

You are the only one holding you back.

Today was an amazingly productive day! I started out with a coaching call and my coach empowered me like no other! Then I met with two business consultants and we started strategic planning for my business. This evening, I have sessions with two coaches about two different aspects of my business.

Professional learning shouldn’t be something mandated by someone else for you. Every leader needs to map out her own growth plan. Assess yourself based on standards! Your income can be your standard. The number of clients or sales can be your standard. We have to be perpetual learners and execute what we learn.

“God’s Success Plan Series: Post 1” Dr. Jené Walker

What is your role in God’s success plan for your life? Be strong and very courageous. The enemy’s spirit of fear will paralyze you and keep your from leading, crossing over into what God has for you, speaking and fulfilling your assignment. God is going to call you out of some familiar places and into new territory. You have to be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. You have to have courage. Then, you have to move.

Stop letting the devil’s spirits of fear and doubt and it’s too late and ‘O woe is me’ paralyze you. God is no respecter of persons! What if every believer “moved” on what God purposed in your heart? Then what if you kept moving? If I stop now, I won’t obtain it. I can’t stop now and neither can you. Jené Elaine Walker

Joshua 1:7 “Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the law my servant Moses gave you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, that you may be successful wherever you go.”

“God’s Success Plan Series: Post 2” Dr. Jené Walker

What is your role in God’s success plan in your life? Obey God’s instructions in His Word. God still calls us to obedience which is one area in which the enemy deceives. Why? The enemy knows that if he can keep you in sin – deceive you into thinking it’s ok to sin like he did Eve and Adam – you will die. The wages of sin is death. Sin is rebellion against God. Sin separates us from God. Some of us want the promises of God but we don’t want to follow the principles of God. To be successful by God’s standards we can’t live in disobedience, sin, and rebellion.

Be honest. How many of us are asking God for blessings – really we’re mad with God because He’s blessing everyone but us – but we aren’t walking in obedience? It’s simple things too that the enemy is using to get us caught up. Husbands what instructions have God given you about your role? Do you know? Wives? Children? Leaders? Ministers? Do you want success according to God’s standards because it is the only lasting success? Don’t stray off the path of obedience. Stay on the narrow road. Look straight ahead toward Jesus – not at the world on your left and the world on your right. Be careful to obey His Word. Jesus says it this way in John 14:15 “If you love me, keep my commandments.” Jené Elaine Walker

Joshua 1:7b “Be careful to obey all the law my servant Moses gave you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, that you may be successful wherever you go.”

“God’s Success Plan Series: Post 3” Dr. Jené Walker

What is your role in God’s success plan for your life? Meditate on the Word day and night, speak the Word of God, obey the Word of God. Then follow the instructions of the Word. I hear you, we have grace [inside thought “So I can keep on sinning and living how I want to”]. Paul says in Romans 6:1-2 (KJV)

“What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?” Jesus died to give us power over sin – not for us to live defeated sinful lives.

Also, the enemy has set up all kinds of systems in the world to keep us distracted and busy so that we have conformed to this world. We literally believe that we’re doing something by working like Hebrew slaves and ignoring God’s instructions to study His Word. We must hide His Word in our hearts so that we may not sin against God. We must speak His Word aloud but we have to know it to speak it. How often do we study? What are we studying? Do we have a systematic study plan? The goal of studying is always about developing a relationship with Jesus Christ; becoming more intimate with Him. A part of our success plan is to study God’s Word.

The fame (in the form of thumbs up) we get by taking off our clothes, showing our bodies, posting bizarre things, posting the most radical things to get attention will not last long. In addition we will suffer the consequences for our sin. Please adhere to God’s standards for success and not the world’s.

Joshua 1:8 “Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.

“We Will Eventually Take Off Our Clothes” by Dr. Jené Walker

The fame (in the form of thumbs up and hearts) we get by
1) taking off our clothes and showing our bodies,
2) posting bizarre things in social media, and
3) posting the most radical things to shock people and to get attention
will not last long.

The more we do for fame, attention and money, the more radical we will have to be to keep the momentum going of getting people’s attention. It’s like the effect of taking drugs. Eventually, the same dosage or level of potency won’t be as “effective.” You will have to do more and more drugs- even lacing it or combining drugs until eventually illness or worse, death occurs.

We notice that when we post “normal posts” we don’t get recognition. The number of likes we usually get decreases. So we post a picture of ourselves in a sexy dress. That gets us worldly success for a moment. Then people get bored with us in the sexy dresses. So then we show more cleavage but again, the attention subsides. Now we’re at the point of posting more than “light porn” just for a taste of the world’s instafamous status or Facebook fame. In addition to feeling empty, low, and lonely [deep deep deep down inside- if we’re truthful], we will also suffer the consequences for our sexually immoral and idolatrous sin.

Please adhere to God’s standards for success and not the world’s.
1) Be strong.
2) Be courageous.
3) Move and keep moving.
4) Obey the Word of God.
5) Meditate on the Word of God day and night.
6) Speak the Word and obey it.

We have to let God heal us and make us whole because any time we rebel against His Word to seek the approval of a world that is perishing and going to hell, something is missing… Jené Elaine Walker
