“Forget Those Things that are Behind You” Dr.J.

I refuse to keep looking back at those things that are behind me. The year is almost at an end. Do we have regrets? Absolutely. Have we messed up? Royally. Have we said and done hurtful things about and to others? Yes! Did we continue to sin and fall short of the glory of God? Too many times to count. Did we miss God and hook up with the wrong people? Countless times. But God! We made it through. We will not live in regret. We will not continue to condemn ourselves. The goal for us is the kingdom of heaven. What do we do between now and the return of Jesus Christ? Preach that the kingdom of heaven is at hand. Be the salt of the earth and the light of the world. Keep pressing in the presence of God. Look back right now, one more time, just to say goodbye to the things that are behind you. We’re moving forward in the things of God and the things and people He has for us. Believe it. Something and someone new is on the horizon. Dr.J.

“Leave That Marriage Alone!” Dr.J.

Leave that married man and married woman alone. For those of us who have been used by Satan to sabotage marriages through our sensual desires for what belongs to someone else, there will be consequences and repercussions. If we would leave them alone, married people wouldn’t have anyone to be tempted by or with whom they can go astray or anyone to cheat with. If we said, “No!” when a married person approached us, he could learn to be content in his current circumstances. Believe me when I tell you, no good will come of tampering in an institution that God created and ordained. We won’t be blessed by it or from it. And if you so happened to “take someone” from someone else, repent and prepare for your own kind of ugly battles. God is not mocked. Whatever a woman sows, that will she also reap. Focus on God until He sends you your own. Leave that marriage alone. Dr.J.

“Church, It’s Time for a Wrinkle and Spot Check” by Dr.J.

I don’t think we need to wait for Jesus to come back to assess, spot check, and judge the church. In education we call it “progress monitoring.” Where are our status check ups as a church? It can’t be in counting fruit because fruit can be deceiving, subjective, or just plain bad. Yes, Jesus will look at us as individuals because the people make up the church. But I can’t help but think that because in Revelation, Jesus addressed seven specific churches and each one of them had issues that He will look at individual churches. What if we used their judgment (or warning, assessment, feedback) as a basis for our own church-evaluation?
1) Have we forsaken our first love? Provide evidence that we haven’t.
2) Will we be prepared to suffer the tests and trials that the devil is about to forge against us? Provide evidence that the church has been prepared.
3) Do we need to repent? Provide supporting evidence that we don’t.
4) Is there a Jezebel spirit (male or female) in the church? Administer a false prophet/prophetess survey and provide supporting evidence that the spirit has been cast out.
5) Is the church “awake” according to the Spirit’s standards? Do not use the knowledge and status of the man and woman of God in position and not the knowledge of the people; not based on works; not based on membership; and not the reputation of the church. God is looking for something else. What is it and do you have it?
6) Have we kept His Word and endured patiently as a church? Provide artifacts and evidence you have. And my, my, my. I think this is where churches had better focus its strategic plans….
7) Are you lukewarm in your faith? Do you take a blatant stand on sin? Are you allowing even the appearance of sin in the church? Music worldly? Dances worldly? Worship questionable or sacred? Defiling temples with worldly rituals? False doctrine?

Let’s do a wrinkle and spot check. Let’s have courageous conversations. Let’s not skirt around the issues of sin. Let kill the spirit of offense and wake up! It’s time church. He is judging us first (see 1 Peter 4:17). Monitor your progress using the Spirit of God and not your ego…Dr.J.

“She’s Too Spiritual For Me!” by Dr.J.

If you find yourself thinking someone who is “super spiritual” is “doing the most,” please don’t take that spirit in “you” lightly. I asked God why was I feeling that way before when someone was trying to teach me about the mysteries of His Word. God showed me that it was a spirit of rebellion and stubbornness. God purged me immediately when I repented.

It is our worldly effort to cling to the world when we don’t want to receive something from the spirit of God. Essentially, what we’re saying is “we’re not ready for all that spiritual stuff right now.” We’re saying, “all that spiritual stuff isn’t necessary.” We’re saying “we need to ‘keep it real’ so people can relate.” We’re saying, “we don’t want to be ‘that’ holy.” Please listen. You are being deceived by the devil. To reject the Spirit of God, to reject holiness is sin and rebellion and witchcraft. To adulterate the Word of God to make it less holy is sin.
We can never have TOO MUCH of the Spirit of God. I’m not talking about being sanctimonious or religious or like the Pharisees. I’m talking about following the example of Jesus Christ in all we do or say or think. Everything Jesus taught us was from God. Jesus said for us to follow His instructions. The world (Luciferian spirit) taught us to put a spin on the Word so people can “relate” to what we’re saying. Come on now! Speak the unadulterated truth in a relatable way but we are to never omit the Word or water it down so that people can “relate.” Think about our people, our ancestors the Hebrews/Jews/Israelites and how they stayed in trouble for mixing worldly principles with the instructions of God. IDOLATRY. REBELLIOUSNESS. It is a spirit.
There is TOO MUCH sin and deception and seduction by the enemy. Look at this world. We need all the Holy Spirit and spirituality we can get. Pay attention to what your spirit rejects. If your spirit rejects what is spiritual, holy, and right you have a spirit of rebellion and stubbornness which is witchcraft.
Open your hearts and minds to hear what the spirit is trying to teach you now. There will be a great falling away of those who are deceived. It is the spirit of rebellion that makes us susceptible to the devil’s deception. Stop fighting to hold on to this world. It’s time to go all out and all in for the kingdom. Ask yourself, “Why wouldn’t I want to be all holy, when God Himself instructed me to be holy because He is holy.” There is no such thing as too much holiness. Listen. Dr.J.
1 Samuel 15:23 “For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the LORD, he hath also rejected thee from being king.”

“Don’t Put JuJu on Anything” by Dr.J.

Be careful what you’re listening to (and allowing your children to listen to), singing about and invoking and giving power in your life. Putting “juju on that beat” is putting witchcraft on the beat. It is satanic. Witchcraft is the rejection of the Word of God (Jezebel spirit). “The Bible has a lot to say about witchcraft. Witchcraft and its many cousins, such as fortune-telling and necromancy (‘the practice of talking to the spirits of dead people; the use of magic powers especially for evil purposes’) are Satan’s counterfeits to holy spirituality. The Bible expressly condemns all forms of witchcraft” (Gotquestions.org).

Witchcraft is one of the sins that prevents us from inheriting the kingdom of heaven. We must wake up now people of God. God remove the blinders from our eyes right now in Jesus’s name. Dr.J.

Galatians 5:19-21 “Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are [these]; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told [you] in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.”

1 Samuel 15:23 “For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the LORD, he hath also rejected thee from being king.”

“Flee Sexual Immorality” by Dr.J.

One of the sins that is mentioned frequently in the Bible and one that will keep us out of heaven is sexual immorality – sex outside of marriage, adultery, fornication, and homosexuality. If we are struggling in this area (sexual immorality), God can and will bring us out if we surrender our flesh to Him. We can’t keep indulging in it without suffering grave consequences; it could cost us our eternal life. Hell is real. There won’t be a party or social gathering or vacationing there. It is a fiery lake of burning sulfur; eternal burning. We must consecrate ourselves and come out of sin now. Dr.J.

Revelation‬ ‭21:8‬ ‭NIV‬‬ “But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars—they will be consigned to the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death.”

“Settle Down Sunday: Exit Strategy” by Dr.J.

WATCH THE LIVE VIDEO LESSON:  Exit Strategy Lesson: Joshua 3:5

I want to come out of sinful situations but I need an “Exit Strategy!”
Read Joshua Chapters 3 and 4 during your devotional time this week.

Settle Down Sunday and complete this Spiritual Survey
1.1 Corinthians 10:13 (NKJV) says, “No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.” What are some of the sinful situations you’re involved in right now that you’re sick and tired of? You want to come OUT! You’ve tried to walk away but it has been a struggle. After reading 1 Corinthians 10:13, how does this shed light on your sinful situation? How does it give you strength to EXIT?
2. This isn’t a pretty message. I don’t hear many AMEN’S in the atmosphere but that’s ok! It’s going to save our LIVES. We can’t afford to stay in SIN, as a matter of fact, look at what 1 John 3:8-9 (NKJV) says, “He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil. Whoever has been born of God does not sin, for His seed remains in him; and he cannot sin, because he has been born of God.” How does this cause us to reflect on IF we are TRULY saved?
3. The Holy Spirit and SIN can’t co-exist. So imagine yourself in sin: sexual immorality, adultery, addictions, lying, deception, spirit of offense, etc. Now imagine Holy Spirit leaving us when we’re committing those sins. If it’s sex, as much protection that we’re using, we’re STILL SPIRITUALLY and PHYSICALLY uncovered because Holy Spirit will NOT bless sin. He is GONE. We are open for any and everything to happen to us. That is such a dangerous place to be. Reflect on this. What are some sins you’ve hidden from “man” but never imagined the Triune God (all three) observing you while you sin (from a distance because God can’t stand the sight of it)?
4. What specific steps within the three EXIT STRATEGIES will you complete to EXIT SINFUL situations? 1) Consecrate yourself (how?); 2) Carry out His instructions (obey the Word of God; how?), and 3) Cross over (how will you move into what God has promised you; He will cut off the barriers and overtake your enemy)?
5. As you go into next week, pray that the Spirit will convict you every time you think of sin. Say it aloud, “Lord give me my way of escape. I don’t want to sin anymore. I don’t want to be without your presence. Help me in my weakness. I am YOUR child and NOT A CHILD OF THE DEVIL.” Avoid tempting situations. Stay out of sin’s way. Avoid people who draw you in to sin. Avoid movies and music that entice you. Stop reading trashy stuff that makes you tingle. What else will you make a spiritually conscious decision to avoid?

God is waiting on us to consecrate ourselves so that He can do miraculous things in our lives. We want the miracle without the consecration. But tonight, we have BREAKTHROUGH. We now KNOW what has held us up from crossing over into His promises. The devil just lost ANOTHER spiritual battle. Our lives WILL NOT be the same after tonight. We will cross over and leave our sin and those sinful situations on the other side of the Jordan. It’s time people of God. Approximately 100 hundred million unbelievers in the US alone are waiting on US to come out! We look just like the world looks and God is sick of it. Let’s cross over into the promises of God. I love you! Dr.J.

“Spirit of Criticism” by Dr.J.

ROMANS‬ ‭14:10‬ ‭AMP‬‬ “But you, why do you criticize your brother? Or you again, why do you look down on your [believing] brother or regard him with contempt? For we will all stand before the judgment seat of God [who alone is judge].”

Lord help us! I was on the phone with someone and for at least ten minutes they were being critical. My spirit was vexed. I began to pray that if I too have the spirit of criticism for Holy Spirit to show me and God to purge me and get it out in Jesus’s name. The spirit of criticism has to originate from some hurt or self-hate. So I pray that we are healed on the inside and filled with the love of Christ. Do we hear ourselves when we’re criticizing and judging others? God open our ears so we can hear ourselves and be convicted. Help us to love ourselves so we can see the best in others. Are you always critiquing others or situations? “Critique” is just a fancy way of saying criticizing. We have to leave these spirits that are not from Holy Spirit behind in order to move forward in the things of God. Dr.J.

“Let ‘Em Go!” by Dr.J.

Some of us are trying to force relationships that God didn’t ordain or that He orchestrated just for a season. Is the season over? “If it don’t fit, don’t force it.” You’re playing tug of war with your spirit and your flesh. We can love others without being in relationship with them. We are trying to force spiritually dangerous relationships. Holy Spirit said to “let it go.” You may be headed in different directions. You may have different perspectives. There is just something about you they just can’t accept. You feel the need to prove yourself and justify who you are. Subliminal remarks are made about you but you still try to pry your way into their hearts.

Ultimately, if your spirits don’t agree, it is unsafe for you to stay in relationship. They will be a hindrance to your next spiritual level. Pray. God will direct your path and give you a way of escape. If God says let it go, listen. Dr.J.

“All In or All Out” by Dr.J.

2 Thessalonians 2:1-4 (NKJV)The Great Apostasy: “Now, brethren, concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him, we ask you, not to be soon shaken in mind or troubled, either by spirit or by word or by letter, as if from us, as though the day of Christ had come. Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin[b] is revealed, the son of perdition, who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God[c] in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.”

The great falling away (defection, apostasy, apostate, forsaking) is a time when people (including those who ARE SAVED) will “fall away” or forsake their belief in the truth (Jesus Christ). They will be deceived by the Antichrist. They will worship him when he shows himself as God.

Who will those people be who fall away and how can we make sure it isn’t us? Some of us are being deceived right now. I was almost seduced by the current events in politics and what is happening with the election that I almost participated in it. I was vexed in my spirit about my involvement and straddling the fence. But God sent me three people to confirm that I should have nothing to do with it. Whew Jesus! That was a close call. I almost had blood on my hands. It’s easy to be deceived. If it were possible, the very elect would be deceived.

We can’t afford any close calls this season people of God. We are either hot or cold. There are some things people of God can’t touch or go near. We have to be firm in what we believe or we will be in the group that falls away- and to fall away is to live an eternal death in hell. Jesus! Help us! Dr.J.
