“How Do I Look?” by Dr. Jené Walker

How do you look single wife? Describe your appearance. See, it isn’t about your complexion, your hair style, your choice of clothing, your bank account, your title at work, your looks, or your shape. Although to the extinct possible, we should take care of ourselves and walk in the fullness of our purpose in this season. However, the “look” you want to have in this season, is the look that shows that you’ve been in the presence of Jehovah. This isn’t a look that you can “beat” on because that will wear off or wash off at night. This isn’t a look that you were born with. This look can only be accomplished by being in the presence of Jehovah continually and persistently. Period.

How can I get this look – the look that will draw my husband to me? STAY on your face in the presence of Jehovah. Study His Word. Fulfill your assignment and walk worthy of your calling. Let Holy Spirit transform your life. Let Holy Spirit change you, improve you, and purge you of the dross that is unnecessary in your life. Let Jehovah purify your heart. Let Jehovah Rapha heal you of your hurt and brokenness because if not, instead of the glory and glow of Jehovah on your life, there will be a residue of heaviness and depression and oppression on your life. And which spirits will those spirits attract? Abusive spirits. Domineering spirits. Cheating spirits. We will never go back to those spirits again but we must be HEALED and WHOLE so that we don’t draw them to us.

Spend time in the presence of Jehovah. People will begin to tell you, “You are so beautiful. There is just something about you.” They will say, “You’re glowing” and it has nothing to do with being with child. But about the glory of Jehovah you carry on the inside of you. This glow than can only be achieved by being in the presence of God is what will draw him to you this season.

He won’t see your worth until you do. Will it be too late? Sometimes, devaluing you goes past the point of no return; it does irreparable damage to the relationship. But the moment you grasp in your belly how valuable and worthy you are, your whole life will change. Hold on to Yeshua (Jesus). He wants to tell you something so sweet and special about you, something that will change your self-perception forever. Won’t you listen so that you can get the revelation? You are worth far more than rubies.

The devil still tries to make you look in the natural for things to validate your worth. If we continue to look at our lives and our credentials and our looks and our status for worth, the enemy can always make us feel unworthy. There will always be someone else whose life appears to be better than yours. There will always be a prettier woman. There will always be someone with a higher or deeper status that us. The devil knows what to get us to focus on to keep us oppressed. The enemy keeps reminding you that you have a disease and he lies and tells you no one will want you with that disease. So you feel unworthy. You begin to do things to get and keep a man that are beneath you. You begin to debase yourself to get him to love you and want you because you don’t even value you. He tells you that because you’ve been raped or molested or someone performed homosexual acts on you that you’re irreparably damaged goods. He tells you that because your money is low and your credit is bad that you’re a liability. Let’s expose every lie of the devil right now. Rebuke the devil and send every lie back to hell. Our worth isn’t determined by what happened to us, what we did, or what we have. Because we are in Yeshua (Christ Jesus), we are worthy. We are worthy to be praised because we fear Jehovah. We are worthy to be cherished and valued and loved. You are worth far more than rubies. But you’ve got to know your worth for yourself!

You’re a Four Seasons Woman, not a summer fling. You are a year around, every year kinda thing. Don’t believe those lies about your summer self. You’re a Four Seasons Woman.

You are Fall. Your vibrant hues of reds and oranges are balanced by shades of the earth. As your leaves temporarily vanish, you anticipate the new growth that manifests itself in your future season. You can tone down the hottest heat for the warmest warmth. Your Fall makes your elevation even sweeter, your testimony even stronger. You are more than just a summer fling. You’re a Four Seasons Woman, a year around every year kinda thing.

You are Winter, a coolant so necessary when life’s circumstances and situations are ablazed with disappointments and hurt. Your ice freezes the blistering weapons of the enemy instantaneously. Your coldest disposition evokes the comfort of a blanket, a fireplace, an extended embrace. Your chill is so laid back it’s unreal.

You are Spring, a season that melts the ice away. You are stuck between cold and hot, but tepid you are NOT. The birds are singing because of your springy Spirit. Your new leaves forming, your buds sprouting-Your season of growth integral in your cycles of seasons. Your Spring has sprung into a perpetual season of prosperity. 

Yes, you are summer too but summer isn’t all of you. You are passionate, but even more compassionate. You are fun but you are even more favored. You can win the most heated philosophical debates but you are boiling with God’s wisdom. Your summer spirit sears through the coldest of hearts. Your scorching desire to please God is the core of your sizzling summer.

Whoever told you you were just a summer and whose summation was that you are only a vacation, a get away, a go to spot for getting hot…well, they lied. You are more than just a summer fling. You are everything. You’re a Four Seasons Woman. Dr.J.4.12.14

There was a time when I had no self-worth and low self-esteem and of course that opened the door for the enemy. I had a flashback today to one particular situation (because there were quite a few) when a guy I was with really mistreated me. But I don’t blame him. As a matter a fact I’ve forgiven them all because they too were being used by the enemy to further oppress me, suck the life out of me, mistreat me and ultimately keep me from my destiny. Imagine how broken they all were to be used against me like that? 

Even if there isn’t physical abuse, emotional abuse hurts just as badly. It happens when you’re hidden and not courted, left in the house when you thought you were going to visit for a vacation, ignoring you and your calls and texts, and not speaking to you for days at a time as if you are invisible-and eventually you become invisible; when you’re spit on, cheated on with three other women, told you’re average, abandoned over and over…oppression.

But God. I finally looked up and cried out to God. He heard my cry. God brought me out of the slimy pit of unworthiness. He delivered me from oppressive relationships. God wants you to look up now. He wants to deliver you. You are a queen. 

See, it doesn’t matter what you’ve done, or what’s been done to you-rape, incest, molestation, adultery, homosexuality, or other secret sins or hidden diseases-you are worthy to the One who created you. It is time now. Let God heal you, deliver you, and bring you out now. You are a queen because your Father is the King. Dr.J.

Ladies, continue to renounce the spirit of “two” or “second.” God created you as a wife. You do not serve in a 2nd place capacity. You are a queen and you wear the crown. If he belongs to someone else, you don’t want anything to do with him. 

Renounce that heavy oppressive spirit that makes us settle for second place; that makes us wait by the phone for the moment he can get away; that makes us feel empowered because someone who belongs to someone else is using us for sexual and other gratification; that makes us chase after and pine for that which is not ours; that makes us content with not being able to call him “our own” according to God’s law; that makes us justify being a “beckon call girl” for a man who isn’t ours; that makes us allow our bodies to be sexual punching bags; that makes us believe that he is only intimate with us and not his wife because he doesn’t love her; that makes us dream of and covet her permanent place when we are in actuality stuck in a temporary spot; that makes us use our bodies, wiles, and seductive powers to lure him to us. 

We are no longer deceived by Satan. He has been exposed. We know what it is. We know it is a demonic spirit of oppression. It can weigh you down so heavily that you can’t move forward. We renounce the spirit of 2nd right now in the name of Jesus. 

Satan, you can no longer deceive us to stay in this dead relationship. We are no longer thieves in the night trying to steal someone and something that God doesn’t want us to have. We are no longer lawless and rebellious. We are obedient. We are free. We can wait on God until we can operate as the number one woman of God He created us to be. We wear the crown. Dr.J.
